Exciting times @ The Little Things

As many of you will know, we have now moved premises, to State Highway 26, just minutes out of Hamilton City. This shift means exciting things for the business as we are currently developing our Flower Farm and also have other exciting projects underway. We are committed to our long-term vision for a business that is sustainable, cares about supporting the local economy, and is striving to reduce our use of flowers that have travelled long distances to reach their customers.

Thanks for your continued support of our business, and we look forward to sharing our love with all things floral with you in the coming months 🙂

Spring is here!

Spring time is here and the garden is buzzing, and we have a massive selection of Orchids, Freesias, Lavender, Hellebores and other blooms in stock from the garden and greenhouse. A fresh selection of other commerical blooms is also available daily, free feel to email me to find out what I have in stock. Email megan@thelittlethings.nz

Make the choice easy… order a fresh ‘Pick of the Day’ and we will create a beautiful bouquet for you, containing a selection of gorgeous seasonal flowers for your chosen value.

Bringing Fresher Flowers to the People!

One of my passions is growing my own flowers, and wherever possible I attempt to include as many quality homegrown blooms as possible in my arrangements, giving the public fresher blooms, that have not been exposed to heavy commercial sprays. The process of growing my own is not without trials and tribulations but the results are really rewarding and there is nothing quite like seeing a customer receive flowers that I know I personally raised from seed. Here are some recent arrangements that have elements of my homegrown blooms in them, including Alstroemerias, Orchids, Statice, David Austin Roses and Lavender..

A Homegrown Affair…

Over the past few weeks the garden has started to take off, with a good number of flowering Orchids, along with Lavender, Pierus, and Hellebores/Winter Roses all flowering well and beginning to be used in increasing amounts of arrangements.
